Title I, Part A: Academic Achievement Awards

The Title I Rewards Schools Program recognizes and honors two categories of Rewards Schools: Highest-Performing Reward Schools and High-Progress Reward Schools.

Listed below are the Bryan County Title I schools who have received these rewards.

·       2019-2020 – Bryan County Middle is a Title I Reward Schools

In addition, Bryan County Elementary School received a 2019 Bronze Greatest Gains Award. Greatest Gains schools earn a three-year average CCRPI Progress Score that ranks in at least the 93rd percentile.

Title I, Part A: Foster Care/Homeless

Foster Care: The Bryan County Schools Foster Care Program focuses on school access, improved educational outcomes, and enhanced academic stability for children and youth in foster care. The Foster Care Program has the responsibility of working closely with local child welfare agencies and local educational agencies to identify children and youth in foster care and to ensure the successful implementation of ESSA provisions.

Homeless: The Bryan County Schools McKinney-Vento Education for Homeless Children and Youth program is designed to address the problems that homeless children and youth have faced in enrolling, attending, and succeeding in school. Under this program, Bryan County Schools ensures that each homeless child and youth has equal access to the same free, appropriate public education, including a public preschool education, as other children and youth.

Title I, Part C: Education of Migratory Children

The Education of Migratory Children is a federally funded program designed to support comprehensive educational programs for migrant children (age 3 to 21) to help reduce the educational disruption and other obstacles that result from repeated moves.

Title I, Part D: Programs for Neglected or Delinquent Children

The purpose of Title I, Part D is to improve educational services for children and youth in local and State institutions for neglected or delinquent children and youth in order to provide the opportunity to meet the same challenging State academic content and achievement standards. Bryan County Schools has no neglected or delinquent children programs.
