PBIS at Carver

Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports

Carver Elementary believes in relationships, safety, and high expectations. We are a PBIS school, which means we approach discipline through a system of Positive Behavior Intervention Supports.

Our PBIS system, known as PAWS, establishes a foundation of regular, proactive support for all students while preventing negative or unsafe behaviors. At Carver Elementary School, Wildcats have a P-Positive Attitude, A-Act Respectfully, W-Work Responsibly, and S-Stay Safe.

These four expectations are common throughout our school, and staff and students work together to create an environment that breeds a healthy culture. Carver Wildcats are motivated to meet our PAWS expectations through a variety of individual and group incentives. This includes our Carver Market, where students can use points to purchase special coupons, opportunities, and other fun items!

We understand that there will be times when our students do not display acceptable behavior. For this reason, we follow disciplinary actions outlined in the Bryan County Schools Handbook.
